The overall build quality is superb, the look of the unit is very attractive and its performance is swift thanks to the inclusion of a Core i7 CPU and a super-fast solid state drive.
Physical design and connectivity What immediately sets the Aspire S7 apart from many other Ultrabooks we have seen to date is its wonderfully clean design. The aesthetic of this notebook can be described as minimal, with Acer taking off as many features as possible from the keyboard area in particular. There is a combination headphone and microphone jack on the left side; there are two USB 3. However, to save space in the chassis, this is a short slot, which means that plugged in SD cards stick out of the chassis; you have to be mindful of this when moving the S7 around while a card is plugged in to it.
